Eating out

There is plenty of choice if you want to eat out in London, including many restaurants within walking distance of our home. Most pubs serve basic fare at reasonable prices, and the usual chains like Cafe Rouge, Pizza Express and Wagamama can be found everywhere.

Close by, we often eat at Aubaine (French) and sometimes at the Churchill Arms (Thai) - its restaurant at the back of the pub is excellent value. At the tube station entrance is Bills, good for breakfasts or dinner. For an excellent Indian restaurant, try  Zaika and for an all day menu the Ivy Brasserie is very good.

And for a really special meal out in Kensington, both the Babylon Roof Gardens and the Min Jiang at the Royal Garden Hotel are outstanding and offer great views of London.

In town, we love the Thai food at Thai Square just off Trafalgar Square. For beautiful Argentine steaks, Gaucho (just off Piccdally) can’t be beaten, and for a breakfast to remember The Wolseley is excellent.
